About us / sobre nós

Contenda turism is located on a farm set in the ondulating planes of the Alentejo region of central Portugal. Consisting of two tarditional portuguese country cottages that boast spectacular views over the caia lake and its surrounding grazing land and olive groves.

Each cottage has two spacious bedrooms, a bathroom, living room, dining room, fully equiped kitchen and furnished patio with views over the lake where you can relax in the peaceful tranquility of the countryside. There is also a large swimming pool surrounded by lush green gardens; the perfect place to cool off on a hot summer afternoon.

The cottages were originally built over 100 years ago for the farm shepherds and gardeners with the traditional thick stone walls of the time. Now they have been rebuilt and redecorated to modern standards whilst maintaing the essence of the traditional workmans cottage.
